Have you ever had that feeling,
Searching for some thing,
That you know not what it is?
Like a word on the tip of your tongue,
A feeling so close,
In a place so lost.
I've spent many a night,
Wandering the vast,
Knowing not what I must find.
I am an adventurer,
Of sunsets and sandy beaches,
Fresh snow and powdery slopes,
In a world that is all my playground.
I am a lover of nerdy things,
Of video games and Internet,
Science and knowledge,
In a life of endless wonders.
I am the change in the world,
Of better and greater possibilities,
Enterprising and charitable spirit,
Of a future ripe for our posterity.
I am a seeker of love,
Of an intelligent and open mind,
Kind heart and gentle soul,
Of a special somebody who might be.
When life becomes comfortable and easy, something inside us sleeps, and we begin to rot. I cannot wake up to the rising sun, and I cannot sleep when the moon shines bright. Every day, all I feel is lazy and tired. I must distill a new sense of discipline from my life, and reawaken my inner fight to live.
It's strange that the longer we wait,
the less significant words become,
until one day when they're finally spoken,
it sounds like they were uttered from a thousand miles away,
barely able to reach your soul.
Yet, the words themselves never changed at all.
